
The Illinois City/County Management Association
(ILCMA) was founded in 1953 for the purpose of supporting
and improving municipal and county management and strengthening
local government in Illinois.
The Association's 600 plus members are professionals
who share the common interest of promoting effective local government.
Members include city, village, and county managers/administrators
and their assistants, persons interested in local government management,
students, consultants, and other management professionals. Most
hold graduate degrees and are appointed to their positions by
the elected governing body.

ILCMA Professional Resource Service
The PRS is a newly created program available to county, city, town, and village
officials
throughout the State of Illinois. The ILCMA professionals who are ready to
serve consist of managers in transition, retired, and semi-retired managers and administrators who are prepared to work in temporary positions or on special
projects
for local government boards and staff.
ILCMA retired, semi-retired, and in-transition members
can sign up to be on the registery here.
ILCMA member communities that would like to utilize
this service can register here.
