March Metro Luncheon: Policing and Mental Health

This seminar will feature a moderated panel discussion about strategies police departments are employing to address mental health concerns both within the community and the department. The panel will share their experience using an outside social service agency as an integral part of the department. In addition, the panel will discuss the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training and its effectiveness.

The panel will include municipal police chiefs, representatives from the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police and social service agencies.
