HIRING RANGE: $85,256.02 – $92,403.90, depending on experience.
HOURS PER WEEK: 40 hours per week.

Join Our Team as a Plumbing Inspector!
Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and integrity of plumbing systems? We’re looking for an experienced Plumbing Inspector to help enforce plumbing codes, safeguard construction projects, and make a real impact in our community!
What You’ll Do:
- Inspect Plumbing Systems: Conduct on-site plumbing inspections to ensure compliance with plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Enforce Codes: Ensure adherence to Illinois Plumbing Code, National Fuel Gas Code, and other relevant standards.
- Work with Experts: Collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and property owners to resolve issues and ensure code compliance.
- Handle Complaints: Investigate and resolve plumbing-related complaints, issuing citations when necessary.
- Support Permitting: Assist with the permitting process, from application to issuance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent supplemented by 4+ years in plumbing systems or related construction experience.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, excellent communication (written and verbal), and the ability to inspect plumbing systems effectively.
- Team Player: Ability to build positive relationships with a diverse group of people.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to read and interpret complex plumbing plans and blueprints.
- Licensing & Certification: A valid state driver’s license and a State of Illinois Plumber’s License. Ability to obtain an Illinois Department of Public Health Plumbing Inspector certification within 1 year of hire. Additional plumbing and inspection certifications are desirable.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with current computer software systems, including Microsoft Office and job-specific software, within the first six months of employment.
